Speaking of sales, in our Designer Outlet downstairs we now have a rack of items at 70% off, which we expect to go fast. And upstairs, everything from Selected Homme is 20% off, and we’ve put it right at the front of the store so you can’t miss it!

Much of our spring stock is in now, so be sure to check out our new Tommy Bahama if you’re planning a trip, for a wedding or otherwise. Their linen and silk pieces will keep you comfortable and in style while you soak up the sun! Just in the last week we’ve received new items from Bertigo, Hugo Boss and many others, so come down and check out what’s new.

Also coming up is the “Largest Wedding Show” which we’ll be participating in. Also on Friday December 9th we are holding a Customer Appreciation Day! We’ll be open from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM and will have savings throughout the store, so don’t miss it! There will also be refeshments, appetizers and sweets! Other participating businesses are No Need to Knock, Pure Home, Mood Menders and Forbes & Friends.

Destination wedding season is upon us as well, and we’d love to help you dress your wedding party with the latest from Tommy Bahama! All silks and linens for the best in comfort in hot weather, their pants and tops will have you looking sharp for your special day.

Also, Vegas Night is fast approaching: on Friday the 18th we’ll be cutting the cards and rolling the dice for savings on everything in the store. We’ll be open until 11:00 PM that night and many other downtown businesses will be participating so don’t miss it! Always lots of fun.

Still coming probably in the next two weeks is our fall Tommy Bahama stock, which is very much geared towards resort wear and destination weddings, with pants and shirts made of linen and silk in whites and earth colours.

Also as of September the Designer Outlet is back open downstairs! Everything is 30-60% off, including dress and sportswear from Boss, Lindeberg, Sean John, Penguin, and many more brands! And of course keep your eyes out for new arrivals upstairs, which are coming daily!

And if you’re getting married or in a wedding party, and renting tuxedos, please remember to get your orders in as soon as possible! Even if your wedding isn’t until September, styles and colours do get booked out so the sooner you book, the better off you’ll be.

Also, the Designer Outlet is open again downstairs! You’ll find clearance items from both Milano and Manhattan down there, and if you don’t know where the stairs are don’t feel embarrassed to ask because they are kind of hidden. I hear the comment “I didn’t know you guys even had a basement” probably once a week, so you’re in good company.

And if you’ve got a graduation or a wedding coming up this year, now is the time to come in and start booking if you’re thinking of renting! Styles do get booked out so, while it’s always possible to get a rental at the last minute, the earlier you book the earlier you can have peace of mind about it. And of course, our selection of suits, shirts and ties will be expanding with new arrivals within the next few weeks so make sure you check it out!

Speaking of rentals, you can always check out our rental companies’ web sites: found here for Derks and here for Black and Lee – both have their catalogue available to browse on-line, and of course you can pop into the store and take them (and price lists) home to look through. And don’t forget, if you’re matching a colour, you can come in to the store and look at the actual fabric swatches so you can be sure the colour is just right!

In other news, we now have the 2011 catalogues from both Black & Lee and Derks, the two rental companies that we are an agent for. So, if you’re needing a tux for grad or a wedding (or for any other reason, really), now’s the time to book! The rentals are done on a first-come-first-served basis so the earlier you come in, the less chance there’ll be of a certain style or colour being booked up already.

New brands include the iconic shirt line Robert Graham, as well as Bertigo of Montreal. With bright colour, bold patterns and contrasts everywhere, these shirts are anything but boring!

Also, this fall we will be participating in the Welcome Wagon wedding show, which will be Sunday October 24 at the GP Inn.
