It may be a new year but for us it’s time for our end of the year sale, since much of our new stock for spring will be coming in February already. Hard to believe! So to make room we’ve put lots of merchandise from fall on 50-60% off, as well as some other specials, and we’ll be running this sale until almost the end of the month so come check it out!

Also coming up is the “Largest Wedding Show” which we’ll be participating in. As the days get shorter and we all start to freeze a bit more, Christmas is always something to look forward to. Fall is once again upon us, and since we’ve already received a large chunk of our fall/winter stock, now’s the time to shop for a new winter coat if you’re in need of one, while we still have sizes in everything! And of course we’ve got gloves, scarves, sweaters, the whole deal, so come on down!

Still coming probably in the next two weeks is our fall Tommy Bahama stock, which is very much geared towards resort wear and destination weddings, with pants and shirts made of linen and silk in whites and earth colours.

Also as of September the Designer Outlet is back open downstairs! Everything is 30-60% off, including dress and sportswear from Boss, Lindeberg, Sean John, Penguin, and many more brands! And of course keep your eyes out for new arrivals upstairs, which are coming daily!

Well, spring has definitely come and gone – I know this because we have no more grads for the year! And this is unfortunate because we love grad. The kids are excited, the parents are excited, it’s a lot of fun. However, wedding season keeps us very busy here in the store, so we can’t complain! I personally have three weddings to attend this summer, and if you’ve got at least one to go to, it’s a great excuse to do some shopping. Even if you’re going to a very casual wedding, we’ve got plenty of great pieces that’ll keep you looking stylish, but not like you’re trying to steal the spotlight. (Unless you are trying to steal the spotlight of course, but I’d advise against that.) And, of course, if you need a new suit or shirt and tie to wear, we’ll be glad to hook you up!

And if you’re getting married or in a wedding party, and renting tuxedos, please remember to get your orders in as soon as possible! Even if your wedding isn’t until September, styles and colours do get booked out so the sooner you book, the better off you’ll be.

Also, the Designer Outlet is open again downstairs! You’ll find clearance items from both Milano and Manhattan down there, and if you don’t know where the stairs are don’t feel embarrassed to ask because they are kind of hidden. I hear the comment “I didn’t know you guys even had a basement” probably once a week, so you’re in good company.

Our spring stock has started to arrive and we’re expecting a lot more within the next two weeks, so although it may be pretty chilly out still, now’s the time to start thinking about spring and summer! Most of our Hugo Boss and Lacoste spring merchandise is in so there’s already lots to look at.

And if you’ve got a graduation or a wedding coming up this year, now is the time to come in and start booking if you’re thinking of renting! Styles do get booked out so, while it’s always possible to get a rental at the last minute, the earlier you book the earlier you can have peace of mind about it. And of course, our selection of suits, shirts and ties will be expanding with new arrivals within the next few weeks so make sure you check it out!

Speaking of rentals, you can always check out our rental companies’ web sites: found here for Derks and here for Black and Lee – both have their catalogue available to browse on-line, and of course you can pop into the store and take them (and price lists) home to look through. And don’t forget, if you’re matching a colour, you can come in to the store and look at the actual fabric swatches so you can be sure the colour is just right!

Well, we’ve made it through a couple months of freezing temperatures and terrible driving conditions, but we still have a few more to go. So, in an effort to make winter more bearable, we’re having a sale! Right now most of the store is 30-60% off the regular price, so brave those roads and come on down! The sale will run until February 1st, which is when our spring season officially starts so there’ll be lots of new, exciting merchandise in the store by then too.

In other news, we now have the 2011 catalogues from both Black & Lee and Derks, the two rental companies that we are an agent for. So, if you’re needing a tux for grad or a wedding (or for any other reason, really), now’s the time to book! The rentals are done on a first-come-first-served basis so the earlier you come in, the less chance there’ll be of a certain style or colour being booked up already.

Like it or not, fall has arrived in Grande Prairie. And while we’re just as unhappy as the next guy about the imminence of winter, this is also an exciting time for us because it means the arrival of a lot of new merchandise! And with the addition of some new brands and the re-opening of the designer outlet downstairs, this is a good time to shop. For example, while we hope not to have to worry about winter outerwear for a few weeks yet, right now is when we’ll have the most selection for you so hurry in!

New brands include the iconic shirt line Robert Graham, as well as Bertigo of Montreal. With bright colour, bold patterns and contrasts everywhere, these shirts are anything but boring!
